06 / Events and field support
Conferences and workshops, organised end to end.
Zhikal organises conferences, workshops, training events and stakeholder meetings across Afghanistan — venue, participants, travel, accommodation, catering, equipment, interpretation and the financial and attendance records that close the event out.
Events & Field Support in Afghanistan.
Event management for institutional clients is largely a logistics and accountability exercise. Participants have to be invited, transported, accommodated, fed, registered and in many cases paid; the venue has to work; and at the end the funder needs an attendance record, a photographic record and a reconciled financial file.
Zhikal sources and checks venues, runs participant registration and attendance controls, arranges transport and accommodation, provides catering and conference materials, and supplies sound, media and IT equipment along with interpretation where the audience needs it.
Because the same company can administer participant allowances and per diems, the payment records and the attendance records are produced by one team and reconcile to each other.
