05 / Warehousing
Storage that leaves a record, not just a stock level.
Zhikal provides warehouse management across Afghanistan — receiving, inspection, stock coding, secure storage, inventory records, dispatch planning and proof of delivery — with processes adapted to each client's documentation and audit requirements.
Warehousing in Afghanistan.
A warehouse is where a supply chain either becomes traceable or stops being traceable. Goods arrive against a purchase order, are inspected against a specification, are coded so they can be found again, and leave against a dispatch instruction. Each of those four moments produces a record.
Zhikal runs receiving and inspection at intake, assigns stock codes, maintains inventory records, plans dispatch around the delivery schedule, and returns proof of delivery into the project file. Storage conditions and segregation are matched to the commodity — hygiene kits, food packages, equipment and construction materials do not have the same handling requirements.
Where a client has its own warehouse format, stock card layout or reporting template, the process is adapted to it rather than replaced, so the records fit the audit the client will actually face.

Common questions.
- Can Zhikal use our stock cards and reporting templates?
- Yes. Warehouse processes are adapted to the client's documentation and audit requirements rather than imposing a separate format.
- Is storage available outside Kabul?
- Yes, on an assignment basis. A documented contract covered warehouse management across ten provinces over twelve months.
- What happens when goods arrive damaged or short?
- The discrepancy is recorded at inspection before acceptance, raised as an exception with the supplier and the client, and tracked to resolution in the stock record.
